Community Yard and Craft Sale

Saturday, September 6th. Members (and neighbors) can either rent a
space for $10 to sell their own items, or you can donate items to be
sold. (Please contact Sheri first, as there will be a limit on large
items.) All proceeds will benefit a Sister in Christ in need.

There will also be a car wash in conjunction with this sale. Please
share this information with your neighbors and friends.

Contact Sheri for more information and to reserve you space. And
as always volunteers that day are much appreciated!
Prayer Requests, Thanksgiving & Praises
New & Updated Requests
Bernie & family are mourning the loss of her Aunt Eileen.
Ty Troyer is home recovering.  He is still in a great deal of pain.
Simone Bacon (Florence’s Granddaughter) left for Iraq 5 May, she is expected to be there thru
August 2009.
Latosha Briscoe(Florence's Granddaughter) is in Iraq.
Michael Van Skiver (Amy’s Brother) has had 2 promising job opportunities! Keep praying for a
great outcome for Michael & his family!
Cathy Hood- (Miranda'a Mom) is going thru a really hard divorce.
Stacy Brotherton- her cancer has spread throughout her body and is considered inoperable. She
will be receiving chemo treatments the rest of her life in 3 week intervals.

Thanksgivings and Praises
Congratulations to Minnigh Family! A new Granddaughter Jadyn has been born! Welcome! Baby
and family are doing really well!
Barb Dashiell- (homeschool mom) will not be needing radiation but will be starting Chemo soon.

Continuing Prayer Requests
-Brenda Small (sister of Joan Poff’s UK grandma) has terminal cancer.
-June Metcalf (Ken’s family) has an aggressive reoccurrence of Breast Cancer.
-Freda Conner (Ellen’s mother), Mary Helen Baker (Ken’s step-mother), and Helen Rogers (Mike’s
mom), all with major health issues.
-Ongoing Health Issues:  Mary Zerphey, Mark Tunick, Mike Smith, Ellen Preloh, Wendy

BCS Fund Raising

A great opportunity
for our church

our school!

Right now, we are
collecting Giant &
Safeway card
numbers. Every
time you shop a
portion of your
money spent will be
donated to BCS!

Also, there are coin
cans in the foyer to
put your spare
change in!
And as always
collect Campbell's
soup labels and box
tops!
Compass Group Sign Up

Now through the end of the month is
the time to sign up for a Compass
Group! 1st Meeting will be 7 September.
Midweek for the Master
Come at 6:30 for a light meal and a short
devotional to focus our minds and hearts on
Christian service. Then from 7-8pm, we will
identify opportunities for Christian service
and take action on those opportunities.  This
ministry will grow as we nurture it, so come
and seize the day!
Midweek for the Master will start up this
fall quarter!
We need your old SHOES! BIG ones, small ones,
slip ons, lace ups, flip flops! Any shoe gently
used (no holes please) All sizes great and small!
Last Day to bring in Shoes is 31 August!
